Joaquim Andrade is a multi-media journalist and TV reporter. He is originally from Brazil and obtained his BA in Journalism at Anhembi Morumbi University, in Sao Paulo, Brazil. While in Brazil he worked as an international reporter for RBTV and as an international columnist for AIME Magazine. He speaks English, Portuguese and Spanish. He is currently pursuing a MA in the Reporting New York Program at New York University. He has interned at the Daily News as a City Desk reporter.
Natalia is an aspiring journalist from Texas. She lived in Colombia, from where her family is originally, for a number of years. In December 2009, she completed her BA in Politics and concentration in Spanish language and literature from the University of Dallas. After working in Washington, D.C. as a broadcast intern for the American Journalism Center as well as the National Journalism Center, she moved to New York City where she is working on her MA in Journalism with a focus in magazine writing at New York University.
Merel van Beeren
Merel van Beeren is a journalist and photographer. She is originally from the Netherlands, and obtained BA and MA degrees in Religious Studies – Islam at the University of Amsterdam. She is currently pursuing a MA in the Global Journalism and Near Eastern Studies program at New York University. She has written for hyperallergic.com and has interned at the New Yorker.
Aimee Gonzalez holds a B.A. in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Miami. She is now a Master’s candidate in Political Economy at New York University after studying in Israel, and will be an online communications and media intern at Rabbis for Human Rights–North America this summer.
Sierra McCleary-Harris is a multimedia journalist, currently pursuing a MA in the Reporting New York program at New York University. She is originally from Baltimore, Maryland, and obtained her BA in Communications with an emphasis in Journalism from Susquehanna University, located in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania.
Eva Saviano is journalist and photographer. Originally from Kansas City, Missouri, she has earned a BA in English and a MAE in Secondary English Education from Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri; a Certificate in Publishing from the University of Denver and currently working on her MA in Journalism – Reporting New York from New York University. She has worked as a staff writer and copy editor at 303 Magazine in Denver, Colorado as well as published on such blog sites as 303magazine.com and The Denver Six Shooter.
Genevieve Walker is a journalist and illustrator who grew up in California and moved to New York a little less than a year ago. She received a B.A. form Mills College in comparative literature: French and English, with a minor in studio art. Genevieve is currently working on a masters in magazine writing at New York University’s Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute.
